May 10, 2021 · Per my knowledge, Nvidia Overlay does use GPU for the overlaying process rather than CPU. So, the process is not CPU bound.

Same issue on build 512.77 - Resets to basic performance overlay after ever fresh boot. Uninstalled and reinstalled with no difference. Still has issue.
