January–February 2020 Due to the outbreak of the virus, ski resorts and spas in North Korea have been closed. North Korea was one of the first countries to close borders due to COVID-19. Starting from 23 January 2020, North Korea banned foreign tourists, and all flights in and out of the country were halted.
