Components in garlic may also reduce the severity of fatty liver disease, at least in rodents. Epidemiological data from a population study in China reported in the journal 'Nutrients' suggests that eating raw garlic twice or more per week was associated with lower incidence of liver cancer. To make raw garlic more pleasant, chop it fine and eat it with a meal. To obtain the most benefits from garlic, add it last when you’re using it in cooking. It can also be cut into pill-sized chunks and swallowed whole. If garlic causes gastrointestinal upset or gas, try eating smaller amounts and work up to 1 or 2 cloves.

However, the initiation of leaf senescence is regulated by an array of external and internal signals that are integrated into the age information (Guo and Gan 2005; Lim et al. 2007 ).
